| Disk Defrag is a utility whose purpose is to realign the
"fragments" on your hard drive to allow your machine to access them
properly and quickly. What does this mean for you? A significantly
faster computer! |

To Open:
In Windows XP, Goto Start->All
Programs->Accessories->System
Utilities- >Disk
Defragmenter |

Select
desired drive to defragment (I recommend you do each one) as
shown below

Click
Analize. A dialogue box will appear letting you know how fragmented
your drive is. If its moderately fragmented or greater, I recommend
you go ahead and Defragment.

If
you need to defragment the drive, click Defragment. This process
can take a while if its bad or the drive is large (2+ hours).
If you do it often, the time it takes to correct its problems
will take much less time.
