With the help of OmniPage Pro, users are now able to easily use the well developed technology of OCR to scan in their documents and save them to word documents. The following instructions will walk you through the process of getting your document into word.

Plug in Scanner into the USB port. If done successfully, the scanner should sounds like it begins scanning quickly and windows should should give an acknowledgement sound.

To Open:
On the desktop, click on the "Scan Text" icon. |

Click on the "1-2-3" Button. If done correctly, you will be prompted to wait, then the page will scan in.

After scanning is finished, you'll be prompted to save the document. Select the save location (ex. "My Documents") and provide a name for the document.
Be sure the file type of set to "Microsoft Office 2000/XP" and click Save.

If you'd like to add pages to your current document or you'd like to scan a new document, press the "1-2-3" button again and select the appropriate option. After selecting the option, return to step 4.

If you're done scanning, simply close the program by pressing the red "X" in the upper right hand corner.

Your Done. The file is now in My Documents and in Word Format.
